Vacation Student: Geotechnical

Gold Fields Australia are currently accepting applications for Geotechnical Vacation Students across the Gold Fields Australia Operations over the December-February University break.

The roles are on a 3-month contract basis and are offered as a 10 day on 4 day off FIFO roster from Perth.

Throughout your time on site, you will have access to highly experienced and knowledgeable technical professionals who will expose you to various aspects of our diverse mining environment. We will assist you with building highly sought-after skills to gain confidence with your experience in a safe, challenging and rewarding working environment.

Key factors to your success include:

• Current C Class WA license
• Currently in the 2 nd Year or above of the relevant Tertiary Qualification
• Exposure and/ or Experience in a Mining environment would be highly regarded
• Prior work experience of 12-hour shifts would be advantageous to your application
• Prior work experience using safety procedures would be essential/beneficial
• Familiarity with working in remote locations under extreme weather conditions
• Ability to follow instructions, pick up new tasks/software systems and work in a team environment
