About the Role

We're seeking experienced Warehouse Officer with Maintenance Support experience to join the Mines Productivity Program team at Hope Downs 1. This will be a full-time position with WorkPac FIFO from Perth on a 8/6 Roster day shift only.

The purpose of the Warehouse Maintenance Support Officer is to provide an effective and efficient inbound materials consolidation process, in a timely and safe manner. This includes the management of repairable items through the onsite and offsite repairable returns process

The key focus of this role is to provide direct support to the Plant Maintenance Planners in turn delivering effective and efficient materials consolidation to Rio Tintoâs Pilbara mining operations. The focus is on providing a high level of operational support to customers in a zero-harm culture.

The role will be required to conduct the following activities:
  • Engagement with maintenance Planners and Schedulers:
  • Participate in planning and scheduling meetings;
  • Assist maintenance team in general application of efficient maintenance planning methodologies;
  • Analyse parts requirements for planned work;
  • Ensure timely consolidation of parts through the coordination with Maintenance Planners, Schedulers, Warehouse Officers and freight providers, RTP Buy team and vendors;
  • Timely notification to maintenance Planners and Schedulers of any parts supply issues which may impact planned or scheduled work;
  • Consolidate materials (ready for delivery) in accordance with scheduled Work Orders;
  • Coordinate the return of stock to the warehouse in accordance with the RTIV process for the credit, vendor credit or disposal.
  • Provide front-line procurement and logistics support to the maintenance planning, scheduling and coordination functions with a superior level of proactive customer service.
Actively engage in warehouse operations including:
  • Deliveries;
  • Receivals;
  • Credit returns;
  • Consolidation;
  • Stock control;
  • Housekeeping.
  • Inbound express freight;
  • Inter-site stock transfers (for PM01 / PM02 work);
  • Assist in the Coordination of Inbound freight (onsite deliveries).
Role Requirements

  • C Class Drivers Licence
  • Forklift (LF) Ticket + Forklift operation experience
  • Supply/Warehousing, Planning experience
  • SAP experience
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of plant and equipment as utilised within Bulk Ore Mining Operations.
  • High level of knowledge to extract information from SAP on purchasing, maintenance and supply systems
