About the Role:
Workpac are seeking an experienced HR Consultant for an opportunity with our Government Client based in Perth.

Our client focuses on regional health services and development and is looking for an experienced HR Consultant to provide effective delivery of HR Services to the Regional Pilbara division. The successful candidate will provide consultancy and advisory services to management and staff on all aspects of HR management. The role will be reporting to the Regional Manager Human Resources. This is a 6 month opportunity with a possibility to go permanent with our client. Working Monday to Friday full time hours, the candidate can be based in Perth or Port Hedland. If Perth based some travel to the regional offices will be required on a fortnightly basis for 3 days.
Key Duties:
  • Provide advise and service for all managers and staff assisting with recruitment, conditions of employment, conflict resolution, performance management, labour relations and HR policies and legislations
  • Prepare job PDs and classifications
  • Organise development activities to promote organization effectiveness and work place reform
  • Facilitate training programs and information sessions for health services
  • Liaise with Unions and employee associations on matters relating to employment conditions
  • Implement HR strategies, policies and practices
  • Ensure the management of training and development plans and programs in accordance with company policies and guidelines
  • Plan and schedule future HR relevant activities including recruitment, training and development and department changes
Experience Required:
  • Prior experience in a HR Consultant position is essential, ideally within a government, local council or health services sector
  • Must hold an excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Must holds demonstrated knowledge of contemporary human resource management practices and trends
  • Must hold current C class drivers license with the ability to travel within regional WA with possible overnight stays
  • Must hold full working rights in Australia
