Work Location: Perth
Roster: Monday - Friday
Christmas Creek Operations Planning team are seeking a highly motivated and technical candidate to fill a Perth-based Senior Mining Engineer role responsible for the 2 year plan deliverables.

Senior Mining Engineer - Medium Term Planning
Work Location: Perth

Christmas Creek Operations Planning team are seeking a highly motivated and technical candidate to fill a Perth-based Senior Mining Engineer role responsible for the 2 year plan deliverables.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Overseeing quarterly planning and designs
- Supervising a team of 2 personnel, consisting of monthly planning and block modelling
- Implementing and maintaining Fortescue's planning and design standards and complying with HSE requirements
- Carrying out continuous improvement processes to achieve optimal planning and design results
- Mentoring and coaching team members
- Coordinating with all necessary stakeholders
Qualifications and skills required:
- A qualified mining engineer with BEng credentials
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in open pit mining
- Previous experience in medium term planning (2YP/3MP)
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders with varying technical ability
- Previous experience in mine design
- Competent in Vulcan / Alastri / MMD (or Blocksmith)
- Experience in planning and business improvement processes
- Well-developed communication skills
