Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Inventory Materials Coordinator with our Supply Chain department. The successful candidate is responsible for efficient management of the stores materials catalogue system for repairable items, analyzing and forecasting repaired component historical usage and forward demand, inventory control replenishment and re-ordering functions at a site level.

Responsibilities:

  • Executes against established repairable item management strategies for site(s) that are aligned with functional tactical plans.
  • Adhere to SCM methodologies, policies, procedures and standards by consistently maintaining a high quality of work within the repairable component inventory planning section.
  • Ensure that items identified as Repaired are correctly classified within the Materials Master Catalogue
  • Manage all warranty claims between Nevada Gold Mines key stakeholder groups and suppliers.
  • Ensure that SCM policies and procedures in relation to repairable component planning strategies are executed against to accomplish business objectives.
  • Process and execute daily activities to optimal effect ensuring repaired component stock levels are being reviewed and sufficient core units are available to satisfy demand.
  • Perform inventory planning functions by reviewing; analyzing and processing system generated repair requests and recommended orders.
  • Establish supply repair agreements with off-site providers where items are serviced and repaired with preferred vendors.
  • Perform Materials Master Catalogue reviews of repaired components and ensure referencing is clearly identifiable between new and repaired components carried in stock.
  • Liaise and coordinate with site warehouse and end user groups to ensure that repairable item management modules within the ERP system are being utilized to track and record all on-site workshop, domestic and off-shore repairs.
  • Analyze repaired component historical unit pricing and ensure these are representative of work being performed and aligned with new component costs.
  • Participate as a member in project work and continuous improvement opportunities by providing analytical inventory planning advice.
  • Participate and contribute to safety and environmental practices achieve an increased level of safety awareness.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and work with Strategic Sourcing on key spend categories
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and ensure terms and conditions of agreements are fulfilled.
  • Support assessment and sourcing of suppliers in conjunction with the members of the sourcing and procurement team
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of directly related maintenance planning, inventory analytics and warehousing experience or equivalent combination of training and experience are necessary.
  • Mining experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills using office software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Knowledge of enterprise level software packages is necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift

About Nevada Gold Mines

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.
