HDR is looking for an engineering EIT to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Industrial and mining professionals in our Phoenix, Arizona office.

The primary duties of an engineering EIT include preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports and designs for industrial clients. The successful ideal candidate will be seeking knowledge and experience in both mining and industrial design.

Tasks may include:

  • Communicate with Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s).
  • Work under the direction of the Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s).
  • Prepare calculations, design sketches and redline drawings.
  • Work with Designers and CAD Technicians to develop drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes and project specifications and requirements.
  • Support day-to-day project activities including administrative tasks, data analysis, engineering and design support, documentation and reporting.
  • Field work support for engineering and construction projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering field
  • EIT Certificate or completed FE exam towards obtaining EIT
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
  • Ability to organize tasks and initiate work, problem solve, and take ownership of assignments
  • Some travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference will be given to local candidates.
  • MSHA certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
  • Previous experience in engineering, an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm, or similar desired
