About the Role
This role is to manage and support effective planning and scheduling for a Portfolio of Sustaining Capital at the Gladstone alumina refineries. This role will see you responsible for developing and maintaining detailed schedules to evaluate, plan and manage projects with a key focus on portfolio resource management . This position is due to run for 12 months based out of Brisbane supporting Gladstone Alumina operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Site portfolio schedule reporting within the portfolio management system - BUCS
  • Creates, maintains and report on the project plans and schedules
  • Conduct project schedule review meetings and update schedules
  • Maintains the integrity of integrated project schedules
  • Supports development of monthly schedule reports, including proper analysis
  • Develops and update progress and commodity curves
  • Identifies improvement opportunities for streamlining work process
  • Maintains the relationship with contracting and other project planning stakeholders
  • Liaising with Project Leaders to establish estimate and schedule compliance with cash flow forecast
  • Proactively analyses and report implications of changes to plan and schedule
  • Monitoring and escalating project variations and changes with leaders
  • Provide technical support to project stakeholders
Skills and Experience
  • High level of spreadsheet proficiency
  • Competency within Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Expert in Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Prior background in cost control and forecasting - Desirable
  • 1 - 2 years in a Scheduling and Planning role
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent
  • Post Graduate qualifications in Business are beneficial
  • Project Management course (PMI - PMP would be beneficial)
