Position summary
Downer Water Services South is seeking a Business Systems Manager for the Melbourne Water Safety Focused Performance Joint Venture (SFPJV). SFPJV is Joint Venture comprising of Downer Group, Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure and Stantec Australia delivering replacement, upgrade and new construction of Water, Sewerage and Stormwater assets for Melbourne Water.

Reporting to the Services Manager and based in Melbourne, in this permanent full time role, the Business Systems Manager will be accountable for systems integration and the implementation of standardised metrics and measures.
THE ROLE
  • Lead and manage the Business Analysis & IT team in delivering various software products and applications.
  • Manage integration of various software products and applications that drive optimal business and customer outcomes.
  • Evaluate and recommend software and application solutions that enables continual business and customer delivery improvements.
  • Develop and implement standardised business metrics and measures with high focus on visualisation, ease of use and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that the delivery process is agile, allowing for requirements changes at each milestone.
  • Lead and manage the Business Analysis & IT team in delivering various software products and applications.
ABOUT YOU
  • Significant experience managing IT teams/ projects
  • Proven experience and discipline to deliver IT project outcomes on time and on budget.
  • Proven experience in implementing BI tools and the development of visual dashboards
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems or equivalent practical experience, quals in Project Management Level IV or above
  • Leadership experience in third party software implementation and internal software tool development
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate with a wide variety of people including managing relationships with external clients / suppliers / contractors, etc
