Contracts Administrator
Barrick is looking for a Contracts Administrator position to join the Expansion Project team. This role will be reporting to Contracts Manager, the contracts administrator shall coordinate the bidding, pre-award, award, the full post-award administration and implementation of project services and material/equipment supply contract formation per the sourcing standard and contracts procedure for specific areas of responsibility within the Expansion Project.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Contracts Manager & Senior Contracts Administrators in managing and coordinating all activities of PVDC's Pre-Award Contracts requirements from pre-qualification, through to award.
  • Initiate, administer and monitor contract management and administration processes of contract formation
  • Implementation of contract post award supporting the end user to effectively record, control and forecast contract activities
  • Risk assessment and implementation of appropriate control actions during the contract formation.
  • Ensure any changes to contracts are changed in accordance with required international and local law.
  • Maintain records for Contracts Lifecycle to ensure all processes are concluded within the time constraints as aligned with End Users and Contracts Manager.
  • Ensuring that Barrick policies and standards and good contracting principles are met
  • Enforcing Sourcing Standard and the procedures dictated in the standard. Ensuring application of such standards in all administrative functions.
  • Support the End User in the particular areas of assignment with administration of all activities of PVDC's Post-Award Contracts requirements to ensure that Barrick policies and standards and good contracting principles are complied with by such service providers and suppliers.
  • Ensure adherence to the contract agreements terms and conditions and schedules to ensure the intent of the agreement is transferred to the actual execution.
  • Ensure that all invoicing and payments are aligned to the pricing structures and validated accordingly.
  • Setup and chair all required progress meetings between service providers and the Project contract owner. Issue all minutes related to such meetings and ensure any actions that are required from such minutes are concluded within the time constraints allowed.
  • Ensure all logs, reports and forms required to be executed in the administration of all service contracts are developed and issued according to direction and procedure. Administrate the contracts per the approved forms, formats, procedures and process flows issued by the PVDC Contracts Group or Expansion Contracts Manager.

  • Qualifications:
    • Minimum 10 years supply chain experience, specifically procurement and 5 years contracts management.
    • Experience in Law is preferable.
    • Experience in construction projects is essential in the mining environment is preferred
    • Experience in FIDIC Red Book construction contracts preferred
    • Experience in a role that requires coordination of multiple processes or sites.
    • Basic knowledge on tax requirements preferred
    • Mining experience would be considered an asset.

    • Translation capabilities in English/Spanish and Spanish/English. All contracts are in English language
