Please note: This position has the possibility to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The position will require occasional travel to the Phoenix corporate offices and/or site locations. This position may be performed anywhere in the U.S. except California, New Hampshire, Michigan, Illinois and New York. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the position shift to in-office work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time should the position meet the established eligibility for these benefits.

Description

Serve as the system expert for:
• Capacities Forecast and Production Planning
• Inventory Management processes
Provide support to Global Planning for managing operations planning aspects to support Production & Capacity Planning, and Inventory Optimization. Develop the ability to determine for sites(s) on when and how much to produce to align with inventory targets for global planning managers on metallurgical and chemicals to support sales demand. Identify and improve business/process systems and practices on operations planning to make and maintain finished goods and develop all components to run planning with an ERP type of focus.
  • Maintain capacity forecast for long term planning and run time forecasting for short term planning processing sites to ensure production plans aligned to support inventory needs. Review run time plans from site Planners for alignment to plan needs at Climax processing sites.
  • Lead planning to develop the monthly draft on outlook forecast on concentrate feed receipts and global operations plans to support inventories of FG and interim feed stock that aligns with mine forecasts, asset capacities vs inventory targets on finished goods (FG).
  • Develop five-year plans once a quarter utilizing sales demand and capacity forecast while leveraging stakeholders at sites in operations and global planning team.
  • Evaluate for Toll opportunities at sites in terms of asset capacities available after meeting Climax Sales book.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of site planning tools for feed outlook in order to publish weekly scorecards to evaluate for plan conformance.
  • Oversee inventory drivers, review process end inventory needs, transportation lead times and FG to develop target inventories and safety stock.
  • Supervise site Planner for Byproduct Leach processing.
  • Perform other duties as requested


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of operations planning and inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment, including lead or supervisory experience; OR
  • High School diploma or GED and eight (8) years of operations planning and Inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment, including lead or supervisory experience
  • Skilled in the use of MS Office (Word, Presentation and Excel)


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Operations/Production planning experience preferably in a mining or chemicals industry


Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
