About this role

  • Would you like to be responsible for the development and retention of a Treasury Operations team through inspired leadership?

As our Treasury Analyst, you will be key to executing the cash and liquidity management of Canada, Mexico and US bank accounts to support all aspects of treasury operations and cash management. This includes forecasting the daily cash position, bank account funding, ensuring the completion of all authorized disbursements, maintaining short and medium term forecasting, bank account oversight, supporting bank fee analysis, and investment and foreign currency confirmations.

Your role will consist of

Cash Management
  • Prior day bank reconciliation and current day positioning
  • Process 3rd party and intercompany ACH, wire and bank transfers, account funding, and intercompany funding.
  • Recommend and implements continuous improvements to cash management process.
  • Day to day processing of FX trades, investments and reporting. Ensures compliance with internal controls and standards.
  • Prepare and run short term and medium cash forecasting, analyze, understand and improve variance.

Systems, Process and Reporting
  • Implementation & maintenance of treasury and banking systems
  • Supporting SOX and internal and external audit requirements
  • Assists with monthly and quarterly data gathering for internal reporting

Bank Account Management
  • Support bank account opening, closing, changes, signature card updates and KYC and banking compliance.

Your training, skills, and experience checklist

Knowledge:
Bachelor's Degree accounting, business or finance.
  • Corporate banking experience required
  • Cash management experience required
  • Payment systems experience required
  • Knowledge of IFRS and/or U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP). Costing and budgeting concepts and techniques are preferred but not required.

Experience:
  • 3+ years in treasury, banking or a related field
  • Online banking platform payment execution and administration

Skills and Abilities:
  • Shown strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask; able to perform efficiently under tight deadlines with multiple priorities.
  • Have a high-degree of self-initiative with an ability to learn and take on new challenges
  • Strong organizational and relationship management skills
  • Must be able to work independently and support multiple individuals
  • Strong PC skills using MS office software
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Bilingual English / Spanish - verbal and written a plus


Working conditions and location

  • The position will sit in the Denver, CO Corporate Office.
  • We may ask you to travel to assist other domestic or international sites.
  • Willingness to longer hours and weekends as projects and priorities instruct.

The salary range offered for this role is $ . The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
