We are seeking an energetic Technical Project Coordinator to join our Teck Digital Systems team!

The Technical Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating projects from initiation to closure with a committed goal of delivering on time, on budget, scope complete with a high level of quality and business happiness from inception to completion, and assisting program managers with their PM duties. The Project Coordinator is encouraged to take direction from the Program Manager depending upon the project scope. While there will be no staff directly reporting into this role, the Project Coordinator will be required to lead resources, including contractor resources, assigned to the respective project.

Responsibilities
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Running detailed Project Gantt charts, Time Lines (milestones), Resource charts, and dependencies with other Project timeline
  • Working with Program Managers to plan, request and acquire required resources to meet results
  • Coordinate the contracts including preparation of Purchase Requisitions, invoice processing, and approval
  • Documenting any scope changes impacting schedule, budget, or quality
  • Monitoring project team timesheet reporting to ensure accurate project accounting
  • Administer the document management and controls process
  • Coordinating meetings, workshops, and logistics for project and program purposes
  • Typical project size between $1-10M CAD and 6-12 months duration
  • Assisting the Program Managers on larger size programs
  • Solve problems: Identifying, resolving, and raising any issues and risks as and when required


Qualifications
  • 3-5 years’ experience in coordinating projects
  • 2+ years’ experience using Microsoft Project or equivalent (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • PMP certification (preferred)
  • Scrum or Agile certification (preferred)
  • 1+ years' experience with hands-on technical experience using Microsoft DevOps or other agile planning toolkit (preferred)
  • Worked on programs $1-10M in labor dollar value
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding teammate and consensus-builder
  • Strong problem-solving skills confirmed in previous roles
  • Self-motivated and strives to get the job done right
  • Familiar with Project Management principles
  • Some experience in Organizational Change Management
  • Proficient Spanish, both written and spoken, is considered an asset
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office tools: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint
