Your role

Newmont is seeking a Shift Foreperson for the Process Operations Group to be responsible for the safe operation of the Adsorption Desorption Recovery Plant and the Valley leach area. The role is accountable for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising the work across all facilities, ensuring that all work is delivered safely on time and within budget, and managing equipment and material required to do the job safely and productively.

What you will do

• Safety of yourself and the direct reports and team members
• Environmental Compliance
• Safe maintenance of all plant equipment
• Monitor all process KPI performance - key KPI and strategies and to ways improve
• Understand production target and share with your team
• Cost Control - parts and rentals
• Be part of hiring, mentoring, coaching, and succession planning
• Maintain liaison with customers and contractor representatives
• Daily communication with Process team in all areas
• Be visible in the field and relate with team members 70% of the time
• Employees must comply with state and federal safety and health regulations, company policies and procedures, and the company's environmental compliance policy
• Assist in Environmental State and Compliance Inspection
• Conduct staff and safety meetings and Pre-Start meetings. Ensure line-of-progression is determined and acted upon. Ensure training at all levels is being performed
• Work very closely with General Foreperson.
• Manage performance issues when necessary.
• Develop and coach employees to retain and grow organizational talent.
• Support employees in their career development.
• Read, comprehend, interpret, and learn maintenance literature and technical data, Material Safety Data Sheets, labels on products, warning signs, instructional manuals, and numbers on monitors and gauges to prevent personnel, property, and process loss.
• Manage Site fresh Water Balance and requirements

Your Training, Skills & Experience Checklist

•Must have 3-5 years of supervision experience or relevant work history
•Good computer skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work directly with others.

Working Conditions and location

  • This role will be based in Cripple Creek and Victor.


The salary range offered for this role is $ 75,680.00 - $99,330.00 . The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
