About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking an Operational Readiness Specialist to join Rio Tinto's Business Services team, Perth based with occasional travel to site, 40 hours required with flexibility with the management of the working time. Working from home arrangements also considered for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will be involved in the Rail Mobile Communication Study. The objective with this project is to implement wireless data communications network along the RTIO Pilbara rail.

The successful candidate will be involved in the Rail Mobile Communication Study. The objective with this project is to implement wireless data communications network along the RTIO Pilbara rail.
Key Accountabilities:
- Leads stakeholder engagement and operating model development for large project with impact across multiple departments, stakeholder and sites.
- Self-motivated, confident communicator with maturity to engage with senior stakeholders across the business and with external vendors.
- Leads process mapping and other workshops to understand risks and priorities and develop future state operating processes.
- Accountable for Operational Readiness framework, develops detailed operational readiness plan and strategy across multiple time horizons and phases for project.
- Develops and maintain Operational Readiness network within the business in order to share knowledge and develop best practice.
- Strong experience in the delivery of change processes and operational readiness activities in large projects.
- Demonstrated experience as a strong communicator, influencer and planner with analytical capability.
- Deliver sustaining systems and processes through effective implementation plans.
- Experience in Rail and/or Mining would be highly regarded.
- Experience in IS&T governance processes would be highly regarded.
- Experience working in a similar role
- Mining industry experience (preferred)
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement at multiple levels of management
- Strong leadership experience
- Demonstrated track record of successful operational readiness implementation in complex environment
- WA C Class Drivers Licence
