Job Description:
Summary
The person in this position will provide state and federal environmental permitting and compliance support to clients by managing environmental software databases. This person will work to support clients in multiple industries with a heavy focus on oil and gas. Work will involve creating reports and data management for regulatory reports, troubleshooting technical issues with the software package, creating compliance dashboards and email notifications, identifying data gaps, providing regulatory assistance for the preparation of compliance plans, and reviewing regulations and technical documents. This position can be served from any of Barr's U.S. locations. Fulfillment of the position responsibilities will require periodic travel.

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $42,224.00-$62,483.00/ year. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in environmental studies/sciences, chemistry, biology, or related field
- Experience working with databases and managing large data sets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with charts and functions
- Exceptional deductive reasoning skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness
- Strong mathematical and scientific skills
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A flexible working style and the ability to work independently and with teams of specialists to meet client and project needs
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 or more years professional experience working with databases and/or Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of database and programming platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server or SQL Oracle, Microsoft Access, Visual Studio, Visual Basic for Applications, HTML, Java/JavaScript, or similar
- Ability to process complex or rapidly developing information to extract key issues and implications and develop appropriate strategies
