We're growing our business in Tasmania and we're looking for a experienced Engineer to join the Pre Contract team working from our Hobart or Ulverstone office.

ABOUT YOU

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Sound understanding of varied construction work methodologies in one or more of the following: bridge and road construction, concrete structures and water infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to prepare technical content, written methodologies, supporting staging plans, creating compelling narrative that forms part of a winning bid
• Demonstrated ability to prepare programs, aligning with the proposed methodology
• Sound computer literacy, with experience with MS Project or preferably Primavera P6, auto cad or similar design software to aid in the development of imagery to support written methodology
• Demonstrated aptitude in proactively building strong relationships with key stakeholders. Coordinate with subject matter experts (internal and external) and draw on their knowledge to creating compelling narrative that forms part of a winning bid
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Safety focused - actively participate in and support Downer Zero Harm initiatives and strategies.
• Broad understanding of Contract, Commercial and Risk.
• Strong time management skills with proven ability to work to strict deadlines.
• Negotiation and influencing to achieve desired outcomes.
