We are pleased to be working with our client to safely deliver maintenance and support of the Telecommunications Systems at their LNG processing facility near Darwin, NT.

We are seeking an Onshore Maintenance Technician – Telecommunications in a residential Darwin position, offering the opportunity to work on a world class LNG facility without the fly in/fly out lifestyle.

Responsibilities
  • Preventative maintenance inspections and function checks of equipment related to PAGA, CCTV, Access Control, Electronic Mustering, X-Band Radar, LRAD, TETRA and VHF systems.
  • Routine coverage surveys (e.g. radio system coverage and PAGA system coverage).
  • Break fix maintenance including fault finding and repairs to Telecoms systems and structured cabling networks.
  • Assistance with system upgrades and minor projects.
  • Continuous improvement of Telecom systems maintenance methodologies.
  • Administrative-related close-out tasks within an acceptable timeframe following completion of the above-mentioned activities, including updating check sheets and relevant computer-based records (SAP).


Education, Skills
  • Certificate III Telecommunications
  • ACMA Cabling with endorsements (structured cabling & fibre)
  • First Aid, EWP, LV Rescue
  • Gas Test Atmospheres; RF Hazard and Confined Space training
  • Restricted Electrical License (Desirable)
  • EEHA- all modules including Detailed Inspection in Gas Atmospheres (Desirable)

Experience

You must have demonstrated experience in several of the following systems:
  • Safety Systems (PAGA, E-mustering)
  • Radio Systems (TETRA, VHF, Microwave)
  • Security Systems (Access Control, CCTV, X-Band Radar, LRAD)
  • Structured cabling and fibre fault finding
