The Forecast Planner – Lead, will be the subject matter expert to the Planning Department and primarily responsible for managing the team that creates the plan and maintains, updates and communicates the rebuilds forecast pipeline. As the Lead Planner you will provide supervision, demonstrate effective leadership and be responsible for providing coaching and mentoring to the Planning Team.

Location: Perth-based role based at WesTrac's state-of-the-art Welshpool workshops.

To be successful the following is required:

Essential:
  • Experience within a Maintenance Planning function including a demonstrated ability to scope and quote jobs for business development requirements.
  • Previous experience coaching, mentoring or leading a team
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to absorb technical information quickly
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
  • Basic understanding of financial principles (e.g. budgeting, forecasting)
  • Experience with planning tools such as AMT, Project or SAP along with Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and priorities to meet objectives

Desirable:
  • Trade Certificate in Mechanical trade would be very highly regarded
  • Caterpillar product knowledge
  • Continuous Improvement experience
