Job Description:
Summary:
The person in this position will provide structural engineering services as a member of multidisciplinary teams working on projects for industrial, power, manufacturing, refining, and mining clients. Responsibilities include design and analysis, project management, preparation of plans and specifications, report writing, cost estimating, and construction oversight. The work may require short-term, out-of-town work assignments.

Some work locations may feature rough terrain typical of construction sites and may also require entering and working in facilities that have limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities. Safety training will be provided. Applicants may be asked to participate in a drug screening program at the request of specific clients.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering (including structural analysis, steel and concrete design)
- 5 years of related work experience
- Professional engineer (PE) licensure or the ability to obtain within one year
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project team members and clients
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness
- Willingness to work as part of a project team in an environment that encourages self-initiative
- A flexible working style and the ability to work independently and with teams of specialists to meet client and project needs
- Work experience with AutoCAD and structural engineering analysis software such as RISA 3D, STAAD Pro, or MathCAD
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship
- Acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years of related work experience
- Master's degree in civil or structural engineering
- Experience with 3D software such as Revit or CadWorx
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills involving a wide range of structural analysis and design
- Experience in the consulting industry
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated project organization and management skills
