Please note: This position has the possibility to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The position will require occasional travel to the Phoenix corporate offices and/or site locations. This position may be performed anywhere in the U.S. except California, New Hampshire, Michigan, Illinois and New York. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the position shift to in-office work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time should the position meet the established eligibility for these benefits.

Description

Provide professional-level support for domestic and international compensation programs including job evaluations, market pricing, salary planning, and bonus administration. Identify and recommend solutions where inequities may exist. Consult with human resources management and/or hiring managers regarding compensation issues. Support resolution of issue escalations from Shared Service Center.
  • Perform job evaluations and market price positions utilizing a variety of salary surveys to recommend the appropriate grade for positions across the organization.
  • Manage special projects such as designing job codes and salary structures, and conducting comprehensive FLSA review
  • Participate in salary surveys across the organization
  • Recommend adjustments to salary structures, merit matrices, and serve as resource to HR personnel for salary planning process
  • Evaluate job requisitions for matching of duties to appropriate grades and ensuring FLSA status is in compliance
  • Administer various incentive programs
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports and presentation to staff and senior management
  • Collaborate with peers to research or investigate issue escalations from the HR Service Center and provide solution
  • Perform other duties as requested


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources, or equivalent experience, and
  • Four (4) years of experience in Compensation or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook; plus experience working with relational database systems
  • Report building and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to focus on details and deliver high-quality, accurate results
  • Capable of planning and managing multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to work with general office equipment such as: personal computer/keyboard, facsimile


Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) Certification
  • Experience in using various cloud based compensation data management tools such as MarketPay, Pay Factors, Kenexa Comp Analyst
  • Experience in using various Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Taleo, SuccessFactors, Brassring

  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ
  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
