Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch, a full-service consultancy, is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Drainage Engineer to join the Infrastructure group in Melbourne.

We are currently growing our Australian Infrastructure Group in Melbourne, with exciting opportunities across the Infrastructure market. One of these roles is a Senior Drainage Engineer. This role will suit a Civil Engineer who specialises is stormwater drainage engineering design in major urban transport infrastructure projects. Experience with other utilities; particularly in dealing with utility authority regarding protection or diversion of utility assets would be invaluable.

You bring to the role:

Essential

  • Bachelor of Civil and/or Environmental Engineering degree
  • Demonstrated People and Project Management experience
  • Exposure to Design and Construction delivery
  • Extensiveyears drainage and/or floodplain engineering experience with engineering contracting, consulting organisations or government departments
  • Understanding of the Australian statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Experience working in a client facing capacity and strong communication skills
  • Applicants will ideally have proficiency in various software packages including: TUFLOW, XPSWMM, DRAINS, MUSIC, HEC-RAS, 12D, AutoCAD and Microstation,


It is expected all candidates who apply will possess a strong knowledge of road authority drainage standards in particular for TfNSW & Vicroads and be familiar with relevant Australian Standards.
