The MRM team is seeking a dynamic Mineral Resource Manager to join our team. The primary role of the Mineral Resource Manager is to manage the underground and open pit grade control, resource modelling, and lead all aspects of the growth of the mineral resources.

Responsibilities:

• Establishing and maintaining systems that ensure geological functions are carried out safely and in alignment with industry standards
  
• Weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of production and reconciliation performance, and presentation of results to the Executive Committee
  
• Ensuring open pit and underground grade control is carried out effectively to maximize grade and gold ounces
  
• Overseeing annual budget preparation and management of departmental costs
  
• Managing diamond drilling contractors to ensure safety and performance targets are met
  
• Ensuring that depleted reserves and resources are replaced through the execution of Resource Growth drill programs in line with the Life-of-Mine plan, and that a balanced pipeline of early and advanced stage projects is maintained
  
• Overseeing Resource Model updates and ensuring that Reserve and Resource statements are prepared in accordance with NI 43-101
  
• Sourcing and retaining high quality geology personnel, and ensuring that the team receives appropriate training, mentoring, and performance management reviews
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Geology or related field required
• Registered, or eligible to register, as a Professional Geoscientist with APGO required
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, including at least two years' experience in a similar leadership role preferred
• Experience with 3D modeling, planning, and database software (e.g. Vulcan / Leapfrog, AcQuire, Deswik) preferred
• Geology management experience in both Open Pit and Underground mining environments preferred
• Experience in near-mine exploration and infill drilling campaigns preferred
• Ability to present to and collaborate with corporate executives and the site Senior Leadership Team required
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) required
• Valid driver's license required

About Nevada Gold Mines

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.

The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018.
