Downer's Road Services business is one of the largest non-government owned road services businesses in Australia. We operate from a network of over 50 depots and maintain more than 33,000 km of road. Our business is involved in many exciting ventures within the civil road industry throughout the country.
A fantastic opportunity is now available for a Plant Maintenance Fitter working within our experienced asphalt production team based in Bayswater VIC . You will be responsible for maintaining our fixed machinery for our asphalt production plant including inspections, troubleshooting, repair/replacement of damaged parts and shutdown maintenance.

ABOUT YOU
- Trade qualification in a relevant mechanical field (e.g. Boilermaker or Fitter and Turner).
- Experience in fixed plant maintenance or building product manufacture (quarry, concrete, brick, asphalt etc).
- Strong commitment to a Zero Harm culture .
- Sound capability with asset management systems and safety documentation
- Experience gained within the roads/asphalt industry (desirable)
- A strong 'team player' with the proven ability to work efficiently with others
- Ability to work some overtime (including weekends) or respond to call outs on occasion.
- NOTE: This position is predominantly a dayshift role.
