About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Contract Manager to join our Electrical Maintenance team in Dunedin. It is not necessary that you have an electrical qualification, but this may be an advantage and assist your application.

You will provide the National ITS Manager with assistance and will be responsible for the overall delivery of all electrical maintenance works within the region.

You will be primarily involved in the delivery of maintenance contract requirements for the Local Council and Alliances, optimising resource use and achieving target results. This is a great role for a driven individual looking to make their mark!

About you

Maybe you are looking for your next challenge, or you are a seasoned manager/ supervisor, or you are just looking for change? Either way you will be passionate about contracting, in particular electrical maintenance & tendering, you will actively seek continuous improvement, and be an inspirational leader.

To be successful in this role you'll demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
  • A strong track record of positive leadership behaviours that empower others an advantage
  • The ability to create and deliver a strong customer focus culture, and a collaborative approach to develop client relationships
  • An understanding of strategic asset management and local authority activities an advantage but not essential
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Proven track record in developing a culture that supports Health and Safety management, encouraging and rewarding excellence
  • Tertiary qualification, preferably in Electrical, Business Management or Civil Engineering an advantage but not essential
  • NZ3910 training and experience an advantage
  • Experience with RAMM Contractor an advantage but not essential
