CSG Talent are looking for Civil Engineering Technician who will be responsible in the planning, development and implementation of renovation. maintenance, construction and development of infrastructure projects in collaboration with fellow engineers and technicians.

You will be working for the global mining company focused on growth with a perspective for the long career development.

This is a FIFO role and you will be able to get mobilised from airports in Ontario.

Primary Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Supervise, monitor, control and inspect construction site work to ensure work is tracked and in
compliance with plans and specifications for codes, standards, and regulations
* Ensure proper safety measures and practices are in place throughout construction
* Managing and coordinating a wide range of multi-disciplinary projects
* Prepare RFQ/RFP documents to be distributed for information gathering prior to project start up.
* Supervise or direct and do surveying work, inspections or technical studies related to topography,
soil, water flow, networks of water supply, road infrastructure, buildings, and structures to collect
data for the realization of projects
* Assist in developing design plans and specifications, identifying issues during planning, working
with Engineers to find acceptable solutions to possible issues and preparation of
revised/completed plans and specifications
* Prepare procurement documents including drawings and information for distribution.
* Estimation and preparation of project budgets
* Plan pre-construction requirements, construction staging, schedule, and coordinate with
contractors
* Document construction works using plans, sketches, photos, technical reports and site reports or
any other relevant documents
* Other tasks as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

* College diploma in civil engineering technician or technology program
* 3-5 years of experience in design and implementation of multi-disciplinary projects
* Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microsoft Office
* Possess a valid Canadian driver's license and clear driver's abstract
* A commitment to health, safety, environment, and community
* Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Strong planning and organizational skills
* Ability to thrive in an environment of change; must be creative and flexible
