MPi have been exclusively engaged by Poseidon Nickel Limited, a nickel sulphide exploration and development company with three projects located within a radius of 300km from Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields region of Western Australia and a resource base of around 400,000 tonnes of nickel and 180,000 ounces of gold. Poseidon's projects demonstrate significant exploration opportunities as shown by the discovery of the Abi Rose deposit at Lake Johnston and the recent discovery of the Golden Swan mineralisation at Black Swan. They now seek to appoint a suitably talented Senior Exploration Geologist / 2IC to drive discovery progress and support the company's goal to start production in 2022.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Evaluating exploration datasets to generate, rank and test new existing targets.
  • Provide technical input into resource estimation models, including detailed geological modelling.
  • Mapping and development and supervision of all exploration programs and activities including Geochemical, Geophysics and drilling.
  • Landowners and community liaison.
  • Supervision, logging and sampling of RAB/ AC/ RC and Diamond Drilling programs.
  • Establishment and rehabilitation of drill sites, including supervision of earthworks and pegging holes.
  • Managing and maintaining field equipment.
To be successful you will possess:
  • Bachelor of Science in Geology preferably with honours or higher.
  • At least 5 - 10 years' experience with demonstrated leadership roles.
  • Significant knowledge and experience within nickel sulphide systems, specifically a demonstrated background with intrusive nickel systems.
  • A strong drive to deliver exploration success and take ownership for the execution of the company's exploration strategies.
  • Proficiency using Micromine and computer software programs for GIS and geological modelling.
  • Well-developed communication abilities.
