About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Data Analytics Cyber compliance to design and deliver report for our Cyber Security control compliance metrics, as well as automating related remediation and processes in line with cyber's mission to protect Rio Tinto's Information, Digital Assets and Industrial Control Systems.

This is a great opportunity for a data base systems expert to create a system that will be critical in assisting to keep Rio Tinto safe.

Reporting to the Manager Cyber Security Compliance and working in a collaborative, supportive environment within our high performing global Cyber Security team, you will:
  • Design key cyber security metrics to assist leadership gain insight into the effectiveness of key controls and drive improvements.
  • Implement and maintain the methods through which these metrics are informed, via data extraction and analysis, in conjunction with the Cyber Security subject matter experts.
  • Produce and maintain the reporting of these metrics through a variety of means, including the use of dashboards to a range of audiences, including Cyber Security leadership, senior Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) leadership, Assurance Partners, and Governance forums.
  • Develop automation to track the assessment and remediation activities relating to cyber security metrics.

What you'll bring
  • A few years relevant practical experience in data analytics, visualisation and performance metrics / key risk indicator development.
  • Strong understanding of data and integration platforms / architectures, and demonstrated experience in extracting, synthesising and reporting on data from heterogeneous sources through innovative ways in which to produce unique insights.
  • Programming and scripting skills in one or more of the following - Python, .NET, PowerShell, SQL.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Power Platform products such as PowerBI, Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Comfortable exploring and adapting to a variety of tools, platforms and methods in creative ways.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse Cyber team, to high personal standards and integrity.

We are not looking for someone who has a deep understanding Cyber, but rather a person with a good understanding and experience working within an Information Technology environment.
