Position Description:
Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an Open Pit Administrative Assistant to join the Open Pit Mining Operations Overhead Team. The Open Pit Administrative Assistant will manage learning history and documentation for all completed training in the process division; create requisitions for items and services on behalf of training department; assist personnel in learning to use various Operating Systems; update training spreadsheets and develop reports in various Operating Systems; provide basic administrative support to training and other departments; coordinate efforts for updating and revising divisional policies and procedures; provide support for training document systems inspections and audits; support the division manager with administration and refinement of Open Pit Management Operating System (MOS); perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
- Manage learning history and documentation for all completed training in the Open Pit division
- Serve as administrator for the Open Pit group
- Create requisitions for items and services on behalf of training department
- Assist personnel in learning to use Element and SAP
- Update training spreadsheets
- Provide basic administrative support to Open Pit and other departments
- Coordinate efforts for updating and revising divisional policies and procedures; provide support for training document systems inspections and audits
- Support the division manager with administration and refinement of Open Pit Management Operating System (MOS)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of office/clerical experience preferred
- Experience with word processing and technical writing skills preferred
- Ability to work with minimum supervision required
- Verifiable experience using Microsoft Office products required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively with a wide variety of people required
- Ability to work safely and in an environmentally friendly manner required
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
