About the role

Based at our Kwinana workshop, we have an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team.  You will be responsible for:
  • Technical Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering design input into materials handling, processing plants and power stations
  • Complete power system analysis and protection grading studies
  • Prepare material requisitions, equipment specifications and data sheets
  • Review and approve vendor documentation
  • Review in house deign documentation e.g. schematics, single line diagrams and layouts 
  • Able to direct junior engineers and designers
  • Participate in multi-discipline HAZOP reviews

What you'll bring to the team
  • Electrical, Power and Instrumentation knowledge and experience essential
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • 10 - 15 years' experience in the engineering/mining industry
  • Extensive knowledge of Australian Standards and Regulatory Requirements in Western Australia
  • Understanding of Hazardous Area Classification and the correct application of electrical equipment within these areas
  • Strong understanding of relevant Australian standards, International standards and the WA Mines Safety and Inspection regulations
  • Capable of working 'hands on' to support operations, construction and commissioning as required
  • Must be Chartered Engineering or working towards professional registration
