We are looking for proactive, forward thinking individual to join our Greenspaces team based in Tauranga.

A bit about your role:

As Performance Improvement Planner, you'll be responsible for the implementation and management of Quality, Planning and HSE systems within the Bay of Plenty (BOP) Greenspaces business. Your key purpose is Plan, Check and Improve.

You will also provide a point of contact for community and stakeholder groups in relation to contract operations. Additionally, you will work collaboratively across all sectors, with both the local managers and national managers, responding to the client's requests in a collaborative manner to ensure a One Downer approach.

Other key responsibilities will include:
  • Produce and monitor work plans and schedules/programs in conjunction with Operations Supervisors, to ensure contract operations meet contractual deliverables
  • Ensure clear and robust annual plan is in place for contract that ensures that Contract Operations are meeting the planned maintenance obligations
  • Participate in the production of project/contract methodology, and programmes for maintenance contracts and projects.
  • Prepare and produce the required monthly report information
  • Undertake Asset inspections, and asset condition rating assessments
  • In conjunction with Contract Manager, develop HSE plan for contract for client approval and ensure it is implemented
  • Monitor operations to ensure compliance with local By-Laws, Government Statutes and Regulations, and with Downer policy in relation to Health and Safety, the environment and quality assurance

A bit about you:
  • Horticultural/Turf Qualification, or similar and/or significant industry experience along with experience within the Greenspaces sector
  • Proven successful track record in developing a culture that supports zero harm management, encouraging and rewarding excellence
  • Attention to detail with prior planning experience
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a 'can-do' attitude
  • Proactive approach and a sense of urgency
