Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is looking for a Junior Researcher for a short term project. This broad role involves being able to locate and summarize public information. It requires an awareness of corporate reports and presentations. The Researcher condenses published financial and project information available online and works closely with the M&M Innovation and Decarbonization Lead. The role involves comfort with business English and the ability to rapidly sift through large quantities of information.

This is a fixed term position (3 months). The position is based in Santiago (Chile).

Responsibilities

• Finding, summarizing decarbonization data points from corporate reports and presentations
• Summarizing themes, investments, projects and key people
• Continually seeking a "fit for purpose" approach that meets the key requirements and will deliver the required summaries

Skills / Qualifications

• Zero months to 1 year working experience
• Comfort and ease with written English: The role requires skimming and/or speed reading to pick out data points.
• Organized and methodical, ability to manage own workload and prioritize effectively
• Can summarize detailed technical information
• Ability to conduct steady and consistent research
• Persistent and resilient - can take no for an answer and still obtain the required information
• Flexible, yet pragmatic and with the ability to pay attention to detail
• Uses initiative and proactively considers new ideas / avenues of research
• Enthusiasm for the decarbonization and the green economy
• Knowledge of Data Visualization Tools
• Permit to work in Chile without sponsorship from Wood
