The Phoenix Mine is looking for a Process Maintenance Technician to join the Process Maintenance Team.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Process Maintenance Supervisor, the Process Maintenance Technician is responsible for the following:
- To perform mechanical repairs, inspections, installations and preventive maintenance of process crushing, grinding, floatation and leaching facilities, machinery and equipment.
- Comply with all State and Federal safety and environmental regulations and Nevada Gold Mines policies and procedures.
- Pumps - Explain how centrifugal, diaphragm, rotary gear, and multistage pumps work. Repack pump and explain the purpose of gland water.
- Shop Equipment, Tools and Skills - Demonstrate basic welding and oxy acetylene cutting skills. Identify bolts by size, grade, and thread pitch (Metric and Standard). Demonstrate basic use of Hand, Power, and Measurement Tools (Tape Measure, Square, Level).
- Pipefitting and Fabricating - Demonstrate ability to groove and thread pipe. Demonstrate a grooved & threaded pipe connection. Identify & explain the application where these different styles of valves are used (ball, gate, pinch, globe, check and butterfly). Identify & explain the application where these different styles of pipes are used (HDPE, pvc, steel, rubber lined, hoses).
- Mills - Identify mill components (Trunnion, pinion, clutch, trommel, drives, feed discharge). Identify grates, lifters, and liners.
- Crusher Equipment - Identify Crusher Equipment at site (Gyratory, Jaw, Cone). Identify basic crusher components (Mantle, bowl, & drive).
- Conveyors and Feeders - Identify & explain the function of the components of a conveyor and feeder (pulleys, counterweight, scrapers, rollers, flights, skirting, motor, and gearbox).
- Mill Processing Equipment - Explain the function of the following processing equipment: Mills, Pumps, Screens, Compressors, Cyclones, Tanks & Silos.
- Rigging and Lifting - Demonstrate safe rigging skills (Read and understand sling and shackle capacities). Explain purpose and function of softeners. Calculate load weights centers.
- Lubrication - Work a minimum of 2 weeks with a Lube Tech. Work a minimum of 1 Mill Down Day with Lube Tech.

Qualifications:
- Entry level, some equivalent experience preferred but not required
- Strong problem-solving skills required
- Proven excellent safety and attendance record required
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment preferred
