Teck Alaska Incorporated, Red Dog Operations, one of the world's largest producers of zinc concentrate, is recruiting for a Mining System Analyst. We are currently recruiting for a career oriented individual who wants to be part of a high performing operations team working on the digital transformation of the Red Dog Mine.

The role will report to the PrincipalMine Engineer.

Rotation schedule will be two weeks on-site and two weeks off-site.

Responsibilities:
• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Deliver and support operational technology in support of business objectives at the Red Dog Mine
• Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mobile computing hardware and wireless data networks used at the Red Dog Mine
• Support and maintain the operational technology (OT) infrastructure
• Identify, evaluate and assess new technologies for the Red Dog Mine
• Ensure the security and availability of the wireless data networks
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
• A Bachelor of Information Technology or relevant degree and five years relevant experience or equivalent
• Familiarity with Cisco and/or Redline Communications systems in a mining or industrial environment – A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA or similar certifications would be considered an asset
• Familiarity with Wenco, Bench Manager, CAT Terrain, Hexagon Collision Avoidance Systems, Hexagon Fragmentation Cameras, VIMS, Honeywell Matrikon, or other Fleet Management Software Systems (FMS) would be considered an asset
• Experience supporting operational critical systems in a 24x7-production environment
• Knowledge of best practices for installation, commissioning and maintenance of in pit and mobile hardware
• Familiarity with RF propagation, radio coverage prediction tools, 12V and 24V DC systems on mobile equipment, mobile and fixed communication infrastructure.
• Experience with RF, microwave, and fiber optic communications fundamentals
• Highly motivated individual that is able to work independently to achieve the desired outcomes
• Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills; ability to diagnose a problem and ensure that it gets fixed in a timely fashion
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Well-developed interpersonal skills; a team player capable of working with other teams and departments
• Familiarity with introducing new technology products into a production environment
• Demonstrated ability to work with users and vendors to drive improvements to the quality, service, and cost of technology solutions
• Experience with applicable safety protocols when working around heavy equipment in a mining or construction environment
