Reporting to the Senior Engineer Maintenance, the Reliability Engineer, Asset Rebuild is responsible for developing the work scope and supporting the execution of Teck’s Asset Rebuild Program. You will develop, implement, and sustain maintenance strategies aimed at reliability improvement and optimization of asset rebuilds across Teck’s mobile fleet.

The successful candidate supports a strong safety culture, is meticulous in their work, and can prioritize contending demands in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Responsibilities :
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Apply engineering principles concerning the safeguarding of life, health, property, economic interests, the public welfare, or the environment
  • Support the development of maintenance strategies to improve asset rebuild reliability and reduce cost
  • Participate in and advocate for Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) applications, including interpretation of CBM data
  • Coordinate, interpret, report, and communicate failure analyses through various data sources
  • Track and report reliability Key Performance Indicators and manage the overall bad actor program and processes
  • Deliver asset rebuild projects with key success factors aligned to the project business case, including health and safety, environmental compliance, schedule, cost, and quality


Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a specialization in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia
  • Five years demonstrated ability as a reliability engineer in a mobile or processing environment
  • Detailed understanding of Condition Monitoring techniques, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Failure Modes/Effects Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis
  • Non Destructive testing methods experience is an asset
