We have an exciting opportunity for you! Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Metallurgical Laboratory Supervisor at our Goldstrike operations.

Responsibilities:

• Must be familiar with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and Labware used in the Goldstrike Assay Lab
• Responsible for assay lab crew's safe production, environmental compliance and quality of analytical work reported
• Responsible for OTL entry and approval, manager self-service, work requests/orders, move orders, updating employee training records, status upgrades and employee performance reviews
• Responsible for controlling costs to comply with annual budget
• Prioritize and re-prioritize a large workload as needed to meet client expectations
• Promote a safe working environment, procedures, and culture
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum five (5) to ten (10) years of lab operations experience required
• Minimum five (5) to ten (10) years of supervisor experience preferred
• Knowledge of bullion approval processes preferred
• Strong trouble-shooting or familiarity with lab instrumentation preferred (e.g., ICP, XRF, Leco, AAS) required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced demanding environment required
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position preferred
• Computer skills and familiarity with Labware is required

About Nevada Gold Mines

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.

The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018. Three of these assets are Tier One gold mines: Barrick's Cortez; the combination of Barrick's Goldstrike and Newmont Goldcorp's Carlin; and the combination of Barrick's Turquoise Ridge and Newmont Goldcorp's Twin Creeks.
