We are looking for Administrative Assistant to join IOC's RTSPS team, where you will provide a range of support services including document preparation, data entry, customer service, recording meeting minutes, updating meeting schedules, and other related duties.

Reporting to the Site RT SPS Deployment Lead, and working a Monday to Friday schedule, you will:
  • Work safely in accordance with Rio Tinto safety standards actively engaging in safety initiatives and promoting our "Zero harm" safety culture
  • Perform data entry to ensure accurate information is promptly captured in appropriate information systems
  • Establish and maintain office filing systems, files and records; assemble information upon request; direct other employees in file maintenance procedures
  • Schedule meetings, and transcribe meeting meetings
  • Document preparation and control

What you'll bring
  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration and/or demonstrated competencies in administration
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and SAP
  • Ability to work cooperatively and productively with others to achieve results.
  • Effective organization and prioritization skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills

The Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) is a leading Canadian producer of iron ore concentrate and iron ore pellets that serves customers worldwide. The company operates a mine, a concentrator and a pelletizing plant in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as port facilities in Sept-àŽles, Quebec. It also operates a 418 kilometer railroad that links the mine to the port.
