Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Sign Shop Technician with our Site Services department. The successful candidate is responsible for designing, producing, printing signs.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate large format printer, laminator, and vinyl plotter
  • Cutting and preparing vinyl graphics
  • Weed and tape vinyl graphics
  • Layout for banners, stickers, posters, and signs of all kinds
  • Prepare and apply vinyl to different substrates
  • Finishing banners: hem tape, grommets & wind holes
  • Laminate printed vinyl graphics
  • Formatting files for printing, cutting, engraving
  • Creation of designs (signs, forms, logos)
  • Operate a paper trimmer, commercial paper cutter, rotary engraving machine, die cutting machine, comb binding machine and padding press.
  • Operate a paper numbering/scoring/perforating machine
  • Send proofs to clients
  • Housekeeping
  • Customer service
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

  • Working with vinyl. preferred
  • Flexi Sign (or equivalent) Adobe Creative Suite particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. preferred
  • Design portfolio . required
  • Ability to multitask, be resourceful, prioritize workload, manage time effectively and adapt to changing situations. required
  • Excellent spelling and grammar, verbal and basic math skills. required
  • Initiative, self-management, self-reliance; a sense of responsibility and ownership towards the job. required
  • High School graduate or GED certificate. required
  • Associates degree in Graphics Design related field or proven design experience. preferred
  • Demonstrated computer experience and Microsoft Office required
  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations required
  • Proven safe work record required
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision required
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions required
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people required
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job required
