Downer's Rail & Transit Systems business unit which offers over 100 years' experience in rail, proven delivery of the largest new fleets in Australia and are the largest national rollingstock maintainer. Our dedicated team is currently working on Victoria's new High Capacity Metro Trains (HCMT) rollout. The HCMT project is a Victorian Government initiative and a $2.3 billion investment in Victoria's rolling stock industry. We have a great opportunity located at our newly built East Pakenham Depot, to provide Zero Harm Support to the HCMT Operations and TLS Passenger Rail as required. You will lead, coach and develop stakeholders in their abilities to meet Downer's Zero Harm cultural and systems requirements. You will provide support to the Zero Harm Manager in day to day operations and assist with rolling out initiatives across sites.

ABOUT YOU
  • Minimum of a Diploma in WHS/OHS
  • Experience working with Australian Quality, Safety and Environment standards
  • Meet the requirements of a Rail Safety Worker (essential) and Train Track Safety Awareness (TTSA) would be preferable
  • Previous experience in the rail industry or similar industry
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and Cert IV in Environmental Management and Sustainability an advantage
  • Audit qualifications and experience are preferred
  • ICAM lead investigator or similar will be highly regarded
  • Ability to effect change to achieve safety targets
  • Current Drivers Licence as travel between sites will be required.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with an emphasis on producing weekly and monthly reports
  • Knowledge of Return to Work legislation would be highly regarded
  • Proficient with Microsoft programs
  • Attention to detail required coupled with strong organisational and time management skills.
