Description

Responsible for overseeing all tax reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual and year-end). Responsible for payroll tax testing of updates and changes to the SAP and ADP systems. Handle expatriate tax processes. Provide monthly reports to various locations along with other month-end, quarter-end and annual responsibilities assigned. Assist with tax research and implementation, including external department and vendors.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, annual and year-end tax reporting
  • Creates W2s and all other related processing and year-end activity
  • Handles international processes including monthly reports to accounting, Hypo tax and working with external departments and vendors
  • Perform special reporting for the tax department including but not limited to Officers compensation, Severance, Workers' Compensation, etc.
  • Processes all relocation/moving expenses for the payroll population
  • Run payroll system queries, other adhoc reporting and testing in SAP and ADP
  • Assists and completes payroll tax research and new tax set up, while keeping abreast of tax law changes and understand implications to the company
  • Calculates other special benefit calculations including gross-ups including but not limited to financial planning, third party sick, CIGNA, etc.
  • Perform other duties as requested


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Three (3) years payroll tax experience including year-end processing
  • Knowledge of a 10-key calculator
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent planning, assessment, communication, analytical expertise and organization skills
  • Professional and tactful
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3 - 5 years payroll tax experience including year-end processing
  • 1 year SAP experience
  • 1 year ADP experience
  • Payroll tax certification
  • Detailed nature of the payroll tax functions
  • Time prioritization and management
  • Consistently meet deadlines while meeting the highest standard of compliance
  • Working with confidential and sensitive data
  • Thorough knowledge of payroll laws, as well as tax sources for changing regulations

Criteria/Conditions:
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
