Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a Graduate Hydrotech Engineerto join ourWater Power and Dams group, inthe Boston, MA or Minneapolis, MN offices. This position allows candidates to directly apply and develop their knowledge in water resources in the design and analysis of dams, flood control and hydroelectric projects around the world. In addition to theoretical design and analytical work, candidates will gain valuable on-site practical experience.

As the successful candidate, you will:


  • An EIT with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (concentration in water resources, hydraulics and/or hydrology)
  • Experience with modeling software and CAD software (MathCAD, HEC-RAS, FLOW3D, AutoCAD, Civil3D) is preferred
  • Relevant coursework in finite element analysis, hydraulics, and soil mechanics is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. An interest in conducting presentations and preparing written reports is a plus


You bring to the role:

  • A recent or soon to be graduate An EIT with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (concentration in water resources, hydraulics and/or hydrology)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Aptitude for working on multi-disciplinary teams
  • Commitment to achieving engineering excellence
  • A desire to learn and continually develop
  • Co-op or Summer Student experience an asset


Good to have:

  • Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license
