Your role

Newmont is seeking an RCM Technician or CBM Technician to be responsible for field collection vibration data. Put your skills to the test by participating in weld inspections, thermographic surveys, root cause analysis, and other acitivities associated with determining the condition of equipment and ensuring long life and proper maintenance.

What you will do

  • Performs field shaft alignments and assists with field balancing of the equipment.
  • Performs Root Cause Failure Analysis and communicates findings.
  • Performs field measurements and data collection on vibration levels, temperatures and other operating equipment.
  • Performs an intermediate level analysis of the vibration data, looking for potential problems such as unbalance, incipient bearing failure, misalignment, etc.
  • Performs other activities such as weld inspections and thickness testing as needed.
  • Communicates the findings, either orally or in written reports for the record, and ensures appropiate action is taken to properly maintain equipment.
  • Condition parameters on plant rotating equipment to allow the condition to be evaluated and trended.

Your Training, Skills & Experience Checklist

  • Vibration Analysis Level I certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years equipment and/or testing experience in an industrial and/or technical laboratory setting.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Perform basic algebra equations with some knowledge of trigonmetry helpful.
  • Operate a computer using basic PC software.


Working Conditions and location

  • This role will be based in Cripple Creek & Victor.
  • Monday through Thursday work schedule.


The salary range offered for this overtime-eligible role is $ 63,600.00 - $83,475.00 . The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
