Position summary
Downer Water Services South in undergoing a growth phase with an already strong pipeline of construction projects in hand, we are seeking expressions of interest for an Environmental Advisor to join the team in a permanent full time position. Reporting to the Project Lead and based out of a Downer office South West Sydney, this role will be a great opportunity for an experienced Environmental Advisor to implement and manage day-to-day all on-site environmental aspects including field testing, site inspections, and any monitoring/audit requirements for their project.
ABOUT THE ROLE

• Provide specialist advice to the project teams on the management of environmental aspects and impacts on water and wastewater treatment plant projects
• Assist the projects in the implementation, monitoring and review of the project environmental management plans
• Assisting the Project Management and Zero Harm Leads to provide consistent leadership and delivery of environmental related information
• Develop and maintain regular reporting of environmental performance and energy, emissions and resources information

ABOUT YOU

• Previous site experience in Civil or construction industry, ideally water
• Experience in environmental compliance role
• Formal qualification in either Environmental, Civil or Science
• Demonstrated experience working within small project teams in and challenging environments
• Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation
