Description
Are you searching for the next step in your Metallurgical Engineering Career? The Company is looking for a Senior Metallurgical Engineer to provide expertise and extensive experience in mineral processing, pyro-metallurgical, or hydrometallurgical plant operations.
Responsibilities:
•Conduct and direct others in the execution of metallurgical research programs to improve current and create new processing techniques to be employed in the company operations.
•Conduct sampling programs, analyze data and examine for opportunities to improve current company plant operations, use experience to solve plant operation issues.
•Communicate processes, procedures, conditions, and status to departmental employees.
•Coach, provide guidance and develop knowledge and skill base of entry-level engineers and technical staff in the conduct of metallurgical research and principals.
•Provide technical expertise to other divisional operations
•Continuously observe and maintain safe work practice and environmental conditions in both the laboratory and plant work environments.
•Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
•At least 10 years of experience as a Metallurgical Engineer or related field.
•Experience training and developing technical staff.
•Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related field.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•Strong computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
•Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures and quality control procedures.
•Ability to conduct plant auditing programs in accordance with company requirements.
•Ability to lead and direct Minerals Processing Unit operations.
•Knowledge of and ability to adhere to environmental regulations.
•Good communication and presentation skills.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
•Frequently required to work in outdoor weather conditions, wear PPE including but not limited to eye protection, hearing protection, and foot protection.
•Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
•Occasionally required to work in extreme hear (non-weather), work in confined spaces, wet, humid conditions (non-weather), vibration, working at heights of 4' or more with fall protection.
•Occasionally exposed to loud noise.
•Occasionally required to wear a respirator.
•Regularly requires walking, standing, driving and reaching with hands/arms.
•Occasionally requires sitting, talking, hearing, stooping, crouching, kneeling and crawling, and the use of repetitive motion.
•Requires clarity of vision, three-dimensional vision and precise hand-eye coordination.
•Occasionally required to lift up to 15 pounds.
