Laboratory Sampler
WorkPac are currently seeking labourers to work as a Laboratory Sampler for an ongoing role for an immediate start for our client based at a mine in Mt Isa.
One of the worlds largest mining companies producing copper, zinc, silver, and lead, has provided an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to work in the mining industry. Comprising of underground mines, mineral processing and smelting operations, power generation, and support, our client owns 25 mines internationally and together with WorkPac we are seeking experience personnel to help support our daily operations. Our client's employees and contractors in Australia make a major contribution to the local, regional and national economies.
What you will be doing
We are seeking lab techs to support and assist the Metallurgy team including taking measurement and samples throughout the mine processing plant, as well as cleaning and replacing minor components. Successful candidates will be also alerting the metallurgists when there are faults, sampling preparation of powders using grinding equipment, and conduct tests and process hard rock mining samples.

- C Class open drivers licence
- Ability to pass a mine pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
