About the role

We are looking for Mechanical Shutdown Maintainers with experience in maintaining, repairing and overhauling equipment and associated components within the fixed plant area.

Working on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster FIFO from Perth, Busselton or Broome and reporting to the Shut Maintenance Supervisor, the role will require you to:
  • Carry out scoping to ensure shutdown tasks are well executed
  • Carry out project related tasks including in the Eliminating Live Work stream
  • Act as an area owner and CMS representative during fixed plant shutdowns
  • Carry out QA/QC of shutdown tasks and report back to site leadership
  • Complete preventative and corrective maintenance for all equipment in the fixed plant area
  • Conduct routine inspections of fixed plant assets and determine repair action when required
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with all RTIO Company Policies and procedures
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects increasing safety whilst reducing risk & cost
  • Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly, and completed to the relevant standard / specification


About you


To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • A Mechanical Engineering or Fitting Trade Certificate
  • A C-class manual Driver's Licence
  • Ability to build positive working relationships and work within a team
  • SAP Experience

Located 110km west of Newman, West Angelas operates on a fly in fly out roster from Perth or Broome. Operational since 2002, it was the first site to be incorporated into our Mine of the Future™ programme, trialling autonomous trucks and drills that are now fully embedded into the operations.
