Your role

Newmont is seeking a Trainer for the Process Operations Group to be responsible for the Training of the Adsorption Desorption Recovery Plant, PSES, Valley leach area and the Mill. The role is accountable for scheduling and coordinating the training and onboarding across the groups. This role is also responsible for maintaining the Line of Progression program and facilitating all testing. This individual will also serve as a fill in for the refinery group and assist when needed.

• Create and Modify SOP's and procedures
• Understand all process KPI performance and how to translate to training for group
• Understand production targets
• Maintain liaison with customers and contractor representatives
• Daily communication with Process team in all areas
• Be visible in the field and relate with team members 70% of the time
• Employees must comply with state and federal safety and health regulations, company policies and procedures, and the company's environmental compliance policy
• Assist in Environmental training
• Conduct safety meetings and Pre-Start meetings. Ensure line-of-progression is determined and acted upon. Ensure training at all levels is being performed
• Work very closely with General Foreperson and Process supervision
• Coach employees to retain and grow organizational talent.
• Support employees in their career development.
• Read, comprehend, interpret, and create literature and technical data, Material Safety Data Sheets, labels on products, warning signs, instructional manuals, and numbers on monitors and gauges to prevent personnel, property, and process loss.
• Fill in for refinery technicians when need arises

Your Training, Skills & Experience Checklist

• Must have 3-5 years of experience or relevant work history
• Good computer skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work directly with others.

The hourly rate offered for this overtime-eligible role will depend on the level, and the hourly rate is $ 32.90 . The hourly rate is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The specific level and hourly rate that is offered to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The hourly rate offer will not be based on a candidate's wage rate history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about wage rate history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
