Dimensions

Operates Haulage Truck to move materials in underground environment, and occasionally operates rock breaker. Reports to the Material Movement Supervisor at Hoyle site.

Purpose

To move material underground in a safe and efficient manner, as well as other tasks assigned by Material Movement Supervisor.

Essential Duties

• Must have underground common core and a minimum of (2) years in mining experience as a haul truck operator.
• Must be able to safely operate (licensed) underground 30t Cat Haulage Truck or equivalent.
• Able to function in a busy and dynamic work environment.
• Must have knowledge and experience operating an underground rock breaker.
• Must have good radio etiquette and good communication skills over the radio.
• Must be able and willing to acquire scoop license (required for alternate work duties).
• Removal of scrap from underground using haulage truck.
• Other duties as assigned by the Frontline Supervisor.

Training & Experience

• High School Diploma
• Underground Common Core Certificate
• Specialty Modules including 30t Haulage Truck
• Minimum of two (2) - three (3) years mining experience
• Be a Safety Leader
• Good Safety and attendance record
• Good communication skills
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Must be in good physical condition to perform proper pre ops on equipment.

Working Conditions

• This position is located at Hoyle Pond, part of Newmont's Porcupine mine site near Timmins, ON.
• In this role, you will work a 5x5x4 schedule. As such, if you do not live in the area, we will require relocation.
