Project Supervisor- Operational Projects - NPI Civils

Location: Chichester Hub (Cloudbreak and Christmas Creek)

Roster: 8d6r (may change with project requirements)

Reporting to the Site Construction Manager, our Project Supervisors take a front- line role in ensuring that our projects are delivered in the safest manner, and that the day to day support and management of our contractors is maintained to the highest standard.
Our Project Supervisors are highly experienced in the construction of a wide variety of mine site infrastructure such as but not limited to culverts, traffic tunnels, village construction, earthworks and concrete works, they work collaboratively with contractors and stakeholders to solve problems and deliver high quality infrastructure to the end user.

Key Accountabilities:

General:
• Exemplary behaviour with regards to safety leadership
• Demonstrated commitment to Fortescue Values
• Liaising with contractors and Perth based Stakeholders on all relevant project matters
• Attending all pre-starts and progress meetings for each project they are assigned
• Escorting vehicles throughout the Autonomous Zones (AOZ)
• Completing daily diaries for projects assigned

Training:
• At least a minimum of 80% mandatory training must be achieved after probation

Safety:
• Participation in Critical Control Monitoring, Live Infrastructure Assessments and Team based Risk Assessments for all projects
• Conducting Field Leaderships
• Conducting Plan Task Observations
• Conducting Area Inspections
• Reporting all incidents and taking the lead role as the Incident Owner

Quality:
• Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) monitoring and review
• Field Inspection Checklist completion (progressively) for all projects
• Identifying non-conformances to project drawings and materials (NCR) and escalating to the Project Engineer
• Participating in the Technical Query process (TQ) and providing solutions, conducting review and sign off as required

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Proven experience supervising large resource or construction projects
  • Proven experience championing safety practices.
  • Ideally experience in a FIFO/resources environment.
