About this role

What will you be responsible for?
Develops strategy and governance for Talent Acquisition function globally. Manages Talent Acquisition execution and delivery for the Americas and Corporate, as well as all Executive roles globally. Subject Matter Expert for implementation and adoption of global strategies and approaches to enhance the company's ability to attract resources required to sustain and grow the business.

In this role you will

Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:
  • We build, implement, and continuously improve talent acquisition strategy, programs and tools that produce a robust pipeline of qualified and a diverse pool of candidates, resulting in:
  • We lead the attraction and selection of talent required to achieve the company's objectives, and 2) strong service to hiring managers and an outstanding candidate experience.
  • We lead Americas team to deliver full lifecycle recruitment including sourcing, screening, candidate interviewing and assessment, reference checking and negotiating offer packages.
  • We craft and implement strategy to attract a diverse set of candidates to Newmont, in alignment with Newmont's Inclusion and Diversity strategy. Identify and implement tactics to improve the diversity of the applicant pool and candidates hired.
  • We partner with Corporate Communications to design and implement an effective brand strategy and marketing campaign to support hiring objectives.
  • We establish processes and tools that support an efficient and effective recruiting process, while delivering the best-in-class candidate experience.
  • We develop manager training program and toolkits to support an effective and engaging recruitment process.
  • We develop partnerships with third-party recruiting and assessment firms to support achievement of Talent Acquisition goals.
  • We create and implement quantitative and qualitative measures to evaluate recruiting effectiveness based on quality, cost, speed/efficiency and client feedback.
  • We drive new and innovative solutions for global talent acquisition by staying informed on industry, business and global trends. Demonstrate a growth mindset and learning agility in applying new concepts.
  • We partner with the business and key internal stakeholders to proactively identify Talent Acquisition needs, as well as ongoing strategic prioritization as needed to adjust to business and labor market conditions.
  • We lead and oversee the Talent Acquisition team to implement goals; structure department, talent, and resources to be flexible, scalable and aligned to achieve objectives.

Your training, skills, & experience checklist

Here is what we would need to see from you!
  • Bachelor's Degree in behavioral sciences, human resources, or business management or equivalent Experience.
  • Experience designing, developing and implementing talent acquisition programs.
  • Experience developing and implementing short- and mid-term strategies with supporting infrastructure and resources to attract, develop and retain a skilled workforce.
  • Validated experience directing, engaging, and influencing management to make effective talent decisions.
  • Effective, trusted and credible driver and advocate of people with ability to carefully balance the business trade-offs that may arise.
  • Effective at leadership selection and assessment ensuring the right people are in the right roles; leading the business to identify and place people in the right roles.
  • Proven track record of improving organizational performance through targeted HR strategies and programs.
  • Ability to solve tough, complex and ambiguous problems; ability to exercise sound judgment, flexibility, resilience, initiative and commitment in an environment of rapid change.
  • Ability to work within a multinational corporation with people from various cultures and areas of the business.
  • Previous experience leading a team of direct and indirect reports, both full time and contractor team.


Working conditions & location

Where you will be located!
  • Position will require travel to domestic and international sites. Travel estimated to be up to 10% of time.
  • Willingness to put in extra hours as projects and priorities require; ability to accommodate meeting times outside typical business hours to attend global calls, etc.


The salary range offered for this role is $ 148,160 to 194,460 . The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance. This role also will be eligible for participation in a discretionary long-term incentive program, pursuant to which an employee may receive awards based on their level and individual performance.
