About the role

We are looking for a Principal Advisor - Cyber Security Architect Identity to be part of Rio Tinto's technology modernisation journey, with security being at the forefront of this change.

This role is a great opportunity for a cyber architect to provide security leadership and direction as we modernise our identity landscape.

Reporting to the Manager Security Architecture and Solution Design, and working in collaborative, supportive environment within our high performing global Cyber Security team, you will:
  • Act as an internal subject matter expert for identity and access management and conduct knowledge transfer within the broader Cyber Security team
  • Focus on the protection of Rio Tinto's digital assets and industrial and operational technology systems through the ongoing development, delivery and continuous improvement of identity management practices
  • Lead security research and proof of concepts for identity security solutions and technologies (e.g. intelligent authentication, security access models)
  • Write and maintain clear and concise documentation and architectural standards for identity & access management solutions
  • Stay abreast of emerging security technologies and integrates them into security architecture as needed
  • Support broader solution architecture efforts and identify security issues and risks for escalation with service owners or management
  • Contribute to the definition and delivery of the cyber security strategy
  • Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships

What you'll bring
  • Significant hands on experience in information security architecture and Information Technology (IT) security service delivery
  • Proven experience in security solution architecture and understanding of security and technology operations across a broad range of enterprise technologies with a focus on Identity
  • Deep knowledge and experience in a breadth of cyber security domains, backed by strong technical skills (e.g. solution architecture, incident management, threat modelling
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills to build credibility and collaboration
  • Ability to work in a global, multi-cultural organisation
